Our Evart Community

Evart is a quaint small-town rural community located in the central part of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula.  Abounding in lakes, rivers and streams, forests, and farmland the Evart area is known for its four-season recreational opportunities.  Many full-time and part-time residents and tourists partake in fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, bicycling, canoeing/kayaking, river tubing, dirt biking, off-roading, trapping, and more!

Evart has many community events including the Easter Egg Drop, Memorial Day Parade & Flea Market, Summer Music Series, Farmers Market, Main Street Art Fair, National Night Out, Timber Beast Adventure Race, Labor Day Car Show, Haunted Park, and Christmas Carnival.

Thousands of people come to town for our Independence Day festivities: July 3rd Fireworks Show, 4th of July Parade, 5K run/Walk, and Party in the Park.

Evart is also home to the Osceola County Fairgrounds , which hosts many events through the year.  During June the Fairgrounds welcome the annual Woodcarvers RoundupFloydfest Carving Seminar, and a Gold Wings Tour.        

July brings the yearly Non-Electric Music FunFest (AKA Dulcimer Festival).  The Osceola County 4-H/FFA Fair opens up the month of August while the Michigan Trappers Rally rounds out the month. 


Evart Schools

The Evart Public School system consists of a Pre-K – 4th Grade Elementary (A Leader in Me School).  5th Grade – 8th Grade Middle School, and 9th Grade – 12th Grade High School and an Adult Education Program.

Evart Football

The Evart “Wildcats” participate in many sports and extra curriculars, including: Football, Cross Country, Volleyball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Wrestling, Baseball, Softball, Track & Field, Marching/Pep Band, Concert Band, Choir, Robotics, Spanish Club, Art Club, Writing Club, Student Government, Yearbook, National Honor Society, Project Outreach, Youth Advisory Council, and Travel Abroad Program. Evart is also home to Daystar Christian Academy.

Spring Hill Camp

Since 1969 Evart has been home to Spring Hill Camp, one of the largest Christian youth camps in the nation.  Every year thousands of campers get to learn about Christ from trained staff, fun activities, and recreational experiences.  

Popular activities include the zipline, horseback riding, swimming, paintball, archery, climbing wall, high ropes course, cross-country skiing, and the winter tubing hill.
